Alef Meulenberg - Director

Alef is a social entrepreneur at heart with innovative ideas relating to development. Alef has more than 15 years of practical experience in development work, having started working in the development sector when he was just 19. He is an experienced leader of organizations in Africa, Latin America and Europe. He is driven to bring about change through a holistic development methodology through locally implemented projects. 
Alef is married to Nancy and they have two children – a daughter Imani and son Raphaël.

Tracey Peppler - Fundraising Manager

Tracey has been in non-profit management for over 14 years. Having both a corporate and philanthropic background, she brings a wealth of experience to the businesses that she engages with. With a strong foundation in business development, marketing, and change management, she builds effective teams, and maintains strong relationships.
Tracey is married to Lance for 15 years and has two daughters – Jessica and Kirsten. Outside of work she enjoys travel, reading, running and family time. 

Thobekile Mkhwebula - Fundraising Assistant

Thobekile is a passionate about self development and social entrepreneurship. She was a 2022 nominee for the Woman of the Year award. Thobekile enjoys public speaking and motivational speaking, and is a strong advocate for woman empowerment.
She has two children – a daughter Zikhona, and son Omphile.

Sekgametsi Mojanaga - Fundraising Consultant

Sekgametsi (Sekga) Mojanaga, is passionate about development and eradicating poverty through skills and entrepreneurship. She has over 8 years’ experience in project management and holds certificate in Entrepreneurship with Cape Peninsula University of Technology. She is a qualified international facilitator, assessor and a Business Coach.
Sekga is the proud mom of Karabo.

Moeketsi Marumo - Fundraising Consultant

 Moeketsi holds a Bachelor of Commerce, a post-graduate degree in Economics and a Certificate in Investment Appraisal. Prior to running his own business and consulting for FFI, he was a Director at the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (DTIC). He has assisted private sector and NGO clients to conceptualize, package and access various incentive schemes and grants including, Black Industrialist Scheme, Agro Processing Scheme, Jobs Fund, Labour Activation Programme & National Skills Fund.
He is married to Tebogo and they have two sons, Opelong and Lebogang. In his spare time, he enjoys running, cycling and his new hobby Pedal. 

Sipho Mamize - Fundraising Consultant

Sipho has more than 15 years of Senior Managerial experience. He is skilled in research, technical and managerial capabilities, operational management, stakeholder management, negotiation and strategy development facilitation. He has a demonstrated history of delivery on projects in the non-profit sector with multiple stakeholders.

Cynthia Chigwenya - Fundraising Consultant

Cynthia is a political researcher and pracademic with experience in policymaking. Her advocacy is grounded in research, having worked at think tanks and published on topical issues, including climate finance in emerging market economies and security sector governance. She holds a B.Soc.Sci in Criminology and International Studies, a BA (Hons.) and an MA in Development Studies (Wits).
